Console Facilities You Will Need to Include

This page is to get you familiar with the MIDI features from the Classic Control System, and what switches, ports, displays and interfaces you will also commonly need to provide in order to make those features functional in the console.

MIDI Connection Ports

MIDI Registration On/Off Piston or Control

  • Controls whether recorded registration is played back
  • Very useful for trying a different registration
  • Useful if recording isn't for playing back

MIDI Stop Controls

  • Up to 32 drawknobs or pistons per division
  • Each one turns a MIDI sound on and off, just like a regular organ stop
  • Integrates in combination action, same as regular organ stop
  • Cause vairous MIDI-control parameteres to be sent our expander ports when activated; send "off"when deactivated

Multi-level MIDI Memory Piston

  • Controls whether or not MIDI memory-level changes when combination memory level changes
  • Makes MIDI memory independent from combo-action memory

Set-up Pistons and display

  • You will need to plan a space for an LCD display panel in order to interface with the control system, see its status, and tweek parameters
