The Classic Organ Works control system quite simply has more features than any other
system on the market. The features provided by specific components of the system are listed
with those components. The brain of the system, the Console Control Computer (CCC),
is especially rich in features and functions.
Stop Input Features
- Up to 2048 stops available with expansion modules. Each switch-input board has a 64-stop capacity, wired in
an 8x8 matrix, or in parallel.
- Automatic Pedal
, Automatic Solo , Pizzicato,
Sustain/Sustenuto, Transposer , etc.
- Can directly drive LED
push-button stops, or CLASSIC LRT (Lighted Rocker Tabs).
- SAMDB boards are required to
drive dual-magnetic stop actions (tabs or drawknobs).
- Can connect Syndyne lighted
drawknobs (requires LAMPDR-1 lamp driver board).
- 256-piston capacity, wired in
an 16x16 matrix of any combination of generals, divisionals, reversibles,
or other special functions. (Can have parallel 12V inputs via SIB-1P.)
- Double-touch pistons can be
accommodated, if required. These are used in theatre organs.
- Additional piston-inputs
available for effects and traps in theatre organs.
Memory
Features
- Multiple memories (up to 254
available depending on the amount of EEPROM memory required per memory.
- Up to 16 "quick access" programmable Memory-Level-Select pistons.
- Up to 8 "quick access" programmable MIDI-stop Memory-Select pistons.
- User programmable Crescendo
pedal
sequence; up to 4
independent Crescendi.
- Up to 8 user programmable Sforzando
reversibles.
- Up to 8 user programmable Ventils (reversibles).
- Up to 8 lighted control reversibles
with indicator lights (Zimbelstern, etc.).
- Up to 48 coupler reversibles.
- Up to 16 user-programmable
stop reversibles.
- Settable Tab Reversibles for
special stops.
- 'On', 'Through', 'To', and
'Pizzicato' couplers as well as 'unison-off'.
- Save-and-Restore Piston, Crescendo,
Reg. Sequencer settings, etc., to/from a Sequencer or PC.
- Programmable pistons and toe studs.
- Recall - allows return to registration prior to a piston press.
- 4 x 2-digit numeric-display interface (for Crescendo stage, Registration Sequencer stage, Memory
level, Transposer, and Set-up functions). Additional 2 or 3 digit displays optional.
- Up to 254 MIDI
-stop memories.
- 250 stage programmable Registration Sequencer, using UP/DOWN pistons, with editing features, for
recital convenience; switchable to "piston sequencer" mode.
Display
Features
- Provision for VFD interface.
- Provisions for analog (i.e.
swell shoe) bargraph volume meters.

Input Features
- Direct input from matrixed
keyboards (5 61-note manuals and 32-note pedalboard).
- Compatible with CLASSIC Optical
Keyswitch boards, including optional velocity sensing.
- Input from parallel-wired
stops, keyboards, and pistons using optional Switch Input Boards (SIB), or
via "packaged units" (CCU/OCU).
- Second-touch keyswitch inputs
available with Second Touch Board.
- Additional "floating
divisions" allowed.
- 8-channel ADC (analog-to-digital
converter) for expression pedals, tuning, or other variable-voltage
devices.
- Includes provision for dual
console installations
Coupling Features
- Full inter- and intra-manual
coupling (sub, unison, and super) between all divisions.
- Auto-pedal function plays
low-octave pedal key corresponding to lowest note played in lower octaves
of the Great (or other manual).
- Solo coupler plays high
(melody) note from another keyboard or division.
- 12-step Transposer controlled
via rotary switch, or UP/DOWN (multi-function) pistons and numeric
display, with "in-use" indicator light.
- Full internal logical
processing of traps and effects for theatre organs..
Control Features
- High-speed serial output of
key, stop, etc. data to PCCs or Voice Generators boards.
- May control any combination
of MIDI sound devices, organ pipes, and digital
sample playback organ sound generators.
- 3 levels of locks on
combinations to avoid tampering or inadvertent changes.
- Includes provision for dual
console installations
Connections
- All control connections to
the board are Molex-type plug-ins or ribbon cables.
- MIDI connections are via standard 5-pin DIN connectors.
Setup/Diagnostic
Features
- Extensive set-up capability
to aid the builder/organist in configuring the software to suit his
requirements.
- Extensive built-in
diagnostics aid the organ builder/technician in diagnosing and correcting
wiring errors, electrical faults, etc.
- Compatible with "Organ Assistant" software
for Windows, which allows backup of organ set-up and memory data.
Other Specs
- Power: 8-15V (uses on-board
5V regulator) @ 0.15 amp.
