MLRT-1
Note: This is the scanner board you need to connect your Lighted Rocker Tabs (LRT-3A) to your MIDI interface.
The MLRT-1 is a MIDI-based controller board that works with the Classic Organ Works LRT-3A Lighted Rocker Tabs.
It is designed especially for use with organ consoles used to control Hauptwerk virtual organs via MIDI.
Up to eight full LRT-3A boards (128 stops) can be controlled.
Lamps on the LRT-3As are controlled by the MLRT-1 from MIDI data returned from the organ control system computer.
The MLRT-1 could be used with lighted drawknobs that push-on and pull-off but the lamps require a separate lamp-driving board. This also means that you can use this board, along with a Classic Lamp Driver (11-PCB-LAMPDR) board, to rewire toggling, lighted rocker tabs in an existing Rodgers, Ahlborn-Galanti, Viscount, or Johannus console for MIDI output .
Board type MLPB-1 should be used for lighted push-buttons.
The two MIDI-Through connectors allow other MIDI-driven devices to be used in order to reduce cabling. These outputs are simply duplicates of the MIDI-In signal.
The MLRT-1 may be mounted by either clips or screws and does not require any special cooling.
MIDI Specification
Pressing an ON button sends a BF 51 nn message: (nn:0-127).
Pressing an OFF button send a BF 50 nn message: (nn:0-127).
Received MIDI messages turn lights ON or OFF. e.g. BF 51 nn turns light on for switch number (nn+1). BF 50 nn turns light off for switch number (nn+1) where 0
RESET = BF 79 00 (Reset controllers) is a “short-cut” message to turn off all lights.
The MIDI channel number is configurable by four sections of the DIP-Switch (the other four sections are presently undefined).
Hauptwerk manages the lights. Pistons on Hauptwerk will update the lights.
