The sequencer MIDI port may also send and receive “Program change” (patch) messages. Any external MIDI keyboard which can send “patch” messages may be used as a “remote keyboard”, from which the organ can be played, with stops selected remotely via the organ's combination pistons. This can be useful for tuning or voicing a pipe organ or for accompanying a choir from some remote location.
